Meet Local Exercise Physiologist Joanna Gray
Joanna is a passionate, personable, and enthusiastic Accredited Exercise Physiologist. She graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Exercise Physiology & Rehabilitation in 2016, continuing to complete a Bachelor of Sports Science (Honours) in 2017.
Previously Jo worked in the non-for-profit sector with a wide range of older adults, individuals with disabilities & chronic diseases, as well as a Clinical Educator in the University of Canberra’s Student Led Clinic & researcher for clinical trials run through the University.
At EmPower, Jo specialises within the exercise oncology & cardiovascular disease space and has also developed a passion for Women’s Health. Her own personal health experiences as a woman and mother drive her advocacy for open conversation, awareness and access to knowledge for all within this space.
The best part of being an Exercise Physiologist for Jo is creating genuine connections with her clients and supporting them wherever possible to achieve their goals, she is grateful for every client that entrusts her along their journey.
Outside of work you’ll find Jo chasing sunshine, beaches and adventure with her family and friends.
