Meet Ellie Answerth
Ellie is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who graduated from the University of Canberra in 2020. While studying, Ellie worked with Cyclabilities ACT. This organisation’s mission is to provide quality learning opportunities in recreational activities for individuals with disabilities or vulnerabilities. As a result this keenly developed Ellie’s interest in working within the paediatric space.
Ellie is passionate about promoting engagement in physical activity for both children and adults. She believes exercise should be enjoyable, and that teaching children how to move their bodies nurtures lasting habits that have the potential to positively influence physical and mental health throughout their lifespan.
Ellie uses evidence-based practice to empower parents and their children to participate in an active lifestyle, and enjoys working with parents to create strategies to make exercise fun and attainable for their families. Ellie tailors exercise programs to foster social skills and self-confidence in order to increase a child’s participation in team sports, recreational activities, school physical activity events and further promote community engagement.
When Ellie is not working, she enjoys playing European Handball and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Ellie is available for appointments at Eat Speak Learn Speech Pathology Clinic in Belconnen.
