At EmPower Exercise Physiology we provide professional comprehensive health and wellbeing services. Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists use evidence-based practice to prevent, manage and treat a range of chronic health conditions and injuries.

Our therapists are passionate about what they do. We genuinely care for the clients we work with and take the time to build strong relationships with our clients to better provide a holistic treatment to improve physical, social and mental wellbeing.

We provide one-on-one consultations and small group classes that concentrate on delivering results based on your specific needs. Your program will be tailored specifically for you based on your physical capabilities and personal goals.

Meet the Team

Stuart Noyce

Managing Director & Senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Stuart graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Sports Coaching and Exercise Science, and Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation.

Since graduating Stuart has developed his skills working with a variety of chronic health conditions and sport related injuries. Stuart comes from an athletic background and loves including sport specific training exercises when working with young athletes.

Stuart is passionate about helping his clients achieve better health and wellbeing. He is determined to help his clients understand the importance and benefits of exercise; continuously striving to empower his clients by providing the education and physical skills to take control of their life.

Outside of the clinic, Stuart is a keen tennis and soccer player and loves spending quality time with
friends and family.

Patrick MacFetters

Senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Patrick is an Accredited Exercise physiologist working out of our CISAC location. He graduated in 2013 with a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology from the University of Wollongong.

Since graduating Patrick has practiced in a range of clinical settings including cardiopulmonary, metabolic, musculoskeletal and neurological.

He has worked extensively with neurological clientele and is particularly interested in supporting those with long term chronic conditions improve their quality of life. Patrick will work with you to help develop the best strategies to move towards your goals. He believes a combination of education, exercise and self-management skills is the best pathway to help you improve your health and function.

Patrick is currently available on Thursdays and Fridays at CISAC.

Laura McAuslan

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Laura is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Scientist and Certified Pilates Instructor. Laura completed her Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Canberra.

She enjoys working in all areas of Exercise Physiology, with a particular interest in musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary and chronic disease rehabilitation.

Laura is an enthusiastic and approachable person who loves to meet new people. She is here to assist, educate and help every individual work to their full potential and achieve their goals.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys keeping active, fine dining, socialising and travelling.

David Jenkins

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

David is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who enjoys working with people of all ages and activity
levels to help improve their functionality and overall wellbeing.

David is passionate about helping his clients achieve their goals, whether that is running a marathon or simply having the confidence and ability to complete daily tasks around the home.

He has a broad range of experience working with the elderly population and elite athletes and is currently a Strength and Conditioning coach with the Monaro Panthers Football Club. Having undergone a serious injury himself in 2018, David understands the commitment and sacrifice that is necessary to return to your chosen sport/ work/ activity, and he is willing to help you every step of the way.

When he is not working, David thoroughly enjoys playing football (soccer), playing guitar, and going bush walking with his two dogs.

David completed his bachelor degree of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Canberra and holds accreditations as an Exercise Physiologist and an Exercise Scientist. He is available to see out of our ANU location.

Michelle

Administrative Assistant

Michelle is our Administrative Assistant and the friendly voice you hear when you call EmPower. She
is happy to help you out with any appointments or queries you may have.

Michelle currently works from home and is a full-time mum to 3 beautiful girls. In her spare time she loves reading, hanging out with friends, doing cross stitch and going on adventures with her family.

Our Facilities

EmPower Exercise Physiology operates out of the Canberra International Sports and Aquatic Centre (CISAC) Belconnen and Club Lime ANU. Our clients have access to all modern gym equipment, private consultation rooms, large studio floor space, outdoor training areas, on-site hydrotherapy and indoor heated pools.

You are NOT required to be a member of Club Lime to access any of our services.
